The Division has a major problem with lags. The agents are no longer willing to put up with it.
On Reddit, a user made himself heard: He played The Division last night and once again experienced terrible server performance. The bullets were not registered, the healing did not kick in, and the lag was rampant. Therefore, he angrily posted “The servers are still garbage” and received agreement from thousands of users.
He writes that he refuses to keep this issue small. Massive should finally take care of it. Currently, the server performance is worse than ever. “Something changed, find out what it is, and fix it!”
When the Redditor noticed that his opinion received significant support, he updated the post: He emphasized that the community was always distracted by other issues in the game, and therefore the lag problem was repeatedly overlooked. Now, however, the community should stand united and urge Massive to finally take action.
And Massive responded
In the last livestream, Massive addressed this discussion and the user reports. They understand the frustration. It’s no fun with lags. The goal is to provide the best possible experience in every aspect of the game.
Therefore, they will investigate the issues related to lag and latency and will publish new information as soon as possible. When that will be is unknown.
By the way: Since today, February 10th at 11 AM, the public test servers are down. The last PTS phase for update 1.6 and Last Stand is over. This also means that developers are now turning their focus back to the live game, and perhaps we will soon see a response from Massive regarding the server issues.
