Since the 1.5 update, there are six named armor pieces with unique talents in The Division. We show you the locations where you can find them.
In addition to named weapons, which have been in the game since the release of Ubisoft’s shared-world shooter, there are now also named armor pieces. These are high-end armor with unique talents and names that must not be confused with gear set pieces.
There are a total of six named armor pieces, one for each gear slot. We have already presented the unique talents of these items. But: Where can you find them?
The Locations of the “Named Gear Pieces”
All named armor pieces can only be found in survival mode and on world tier 5.
- In the survival mode, they can randomly be found in sealed containers. However, the chance of this is low.
- At world tier 5, they can randomly appear in containers you receive when you gather enough experience points. Here too, the chance is considered low.

In addition, on world tier 5, there is the possibility to visit certain locations and fight for these items there. If you want to farm the “named gear pieces” specifically, these are the locations:
- Mask: Ferro’s Oxygen Mask: Defeat Joe Ferro in the mission “Napalm Production Facility” in the southern part of the map.
- knee pads: Shortbow Championship Pads: Defeat Hutch in the mission “Madison Field Hospital”.
- Holster: Colonel Bliss’ Holster: Defeat Lt. Col. Charles Bliss in the mission “General Assembly”. This is the final story mission.
- Gloves: Skulls MC Gloves: Every named boss in the open world has a chance to drop these gloves. You can find a map of all bosses here.
- Chest: Barrett’s Bulletproof Vest: Defeat Larae Barrett in the mission “Lexington Event Center”.
- Backpack: NinjaBike Messenger Bag: All bosses in the Dark Zone can drop this backpack.
Note: You must play these missions on world tier 5!
