In The Division, update 1.7 is available. These secret gear sets can be obtained during the first global event.
Today, on August 15th, at around 12:30 PM, update 1.7 of The Division opened its gates for agents. All players can now test the new content for free.
Since 2 PM, the first global event is live. This one is called “Outbreak” and temporarily increases headshot damage for headshot kills in all PvE activities. Additionally, headshots cause an explosion in the enemies: A cloud streams from the heads of the killed enemies and inflicts bleeding on nearby foes.
Optionally, some PvE activities (marked in purple on the map) can have the following modifiers applied, by choosing the difficulty during the mission and then deciding between these modifiers:
- Heavy Outbreak: Enemies become “toxic” and inflict damage over time if they come too close to you.
- or Critical Outbreak: Enemies can be marked with a headshot and then be directly killed by another team member with a second headshot. The “Heavy Outbreak” modifier is also active.

Classified Gear are secret equipment sets
The classified gear, which we reported on in recent weeks, is now called “Secret Equipment Sets” in German. From now on, we will refer to this as “secret gear sets”.
The secret gear sets are improved variants of the existing gear sets, featuring better stats and additional bonuses. If you equip five or six secret set pieces, 5-set and 6-set bonuses are unlocked.
The primary stats on these new armor pieces are always better than the stats on previous armor pieces and range from 1274 to 1401. In addition, two improvements can be made through recalibration.
You obtain secret gear sets by participating in global events. These set pieces can be contained in reward boxes (Outbreak containers) available at the new global event vendor in the terminal. After a global event, the secret gear sets can be found during normal gameplay – albeit with a low drop rate.
During the first global event, three secret gear sets will be released. The other secret gear sets will follow in the coming months.
Lone Hero
The following bonuses are provided by Lone Hero when all six slots are filled with the secret set variants:
- 2-set bonus: +100% ammunition capacity
- 3-set bonus: +8% LMG damage and +8% shotgun damage
- 4-set bonus: Talent – When the weapon is stowed, it is reloaded immediately.
- 5-set bonus: +50% ammunition capacity, +12% LMG damage, +12% shotgun damage
- 6-set bonus: When the weapon has 50% of the magazine left, there is a 75% chance that a bonus activates as soon as the last bullet of the magazine is fired. This bonus causes the weapon to reload immediately, increases weapon damage by 20%, and also increases the fire rate by 20%. However, stability and precision are reduced to 0. The bonus ends as soon as the weapon is reloaded or you leave the fight.
To explain: As soon as the weapon reaches 50% of the magazine, either a symbol appears or it does not. If it appears (at 75%), the bonus applies as soon as the last bullet of the magazine is fired.
Final Measure
- 2-set bonus: +25% exotic damage reduction
- 3-set bonus: +15% protection from elites
- 4-set bonus: Talent – When you are in the range of an enemy grenade or mortar, they are disarmed and added to your inventory. Usable every 8 seconds.
- 5-set bonus: +15% exotic damage reduction, +15% protection from elites
- 6-set bonus: When a grenade is disarmed, the player – as well as all group members within 30 meters – receive a buff. This buff depends on the type of grenade:
- EMP and Shock: Skill power is increased by 20% for 8 seconds
- Fragmentation and Fire: Weapon damage is increased by 20% for 8 seconds
- Flash and Tear Gas: Damage reduction is increased by 20% for 8 seconds
DeadEYE
- 2-set bonus: +40% initial stability
- 3-set bonus: +20% sniper critical hit damage
- 4-set bonus: Talent – When zoomed, sniper rifles lose the headshot bonus but gain 100% critical hit chance. Only works with “zoomed scopes”.
- 5-set bonus: +40% initial stability, +20% sniper critical hit damage
- 6-set bonus: While zoomed, a headshot kill with a sniper rifle increases crit damage by 20% every second up to a maximum of 100%. Stability is also increased by 100%. The effect lasts for 10 seconds or until you exit zoom.
