In The Division, the first major problem occurred just minutes after the launch of update 1.2: Some PC users no longer have characters.
Numerous issues, bugs, and errors have been fixed with the “Conflict” update. However, a new, serious problem has arisen in The Division: Many PC users report that all their characters have disappeared.
Massive investigates the issue of missing characters after 1.2
So far, the information on this issue is quite limited: Apparently, it only occurs on PC. Currently, there are only complaints from PC users in the forums. They report that all their characters have disappeared after update 1.2 went live.
Massive is already aware of this problem and has announced investigations. This is communicated by Community Manager Natchai Stappers in the Ubi forum. He requests that affected users provide their usernames to Massive so that the issue can be resolved quickly.
The Community Developer Yannick Banchereau has also spoken up in the reddit forum and shared this information with the frustrated players. Massive is trying to respond swiftly so that the missing agents can return and everyone can experience the new content in The Division.
After the update 1.1, a similar issue with missing agents occurred on Xbox One. The cause was a malfunctioning server. Once the problem was resolved, players got their agents back – however, their entire game status was reset to the status before the update.
