In The Division, the Heroic mode of the new raid Dragon’s Lair is available today on Xbox One and PC.
Currently, maintenance is being conducted on Ubisoft’s servers worldwide. During this time, the online services of all Ubisoft games are restricted. This includes The Division. Massive has already completed its work, but agents must still wait until Ubisoft is finished. All servers should be back online by around 2 PM.
Once you can log back into The Division, the new difficulty level “Heroic” in Dragon’s Lair will be available. Players can dive into the most challenging PvE challenge today.
Patch on July 12 fixes map bug and nerfs G36
Beforehand, agents need to download a patch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, which is about 1.5 GB depending on the platform.
This will eliminate the currently biggest bug: The map bug. Players could not open the map and thus could not fast travel. Once the servers are back up, everything should work normally again.
Additionally, the G36 will be weakened in base damage by 15%. According to Massive, they would have needed to nerf the weapon even more to achieve better balance. However, they do not want to ruin this strong weapon for the agents. It is still powerful, and it should still be fun to play with.
Further information:
- Currently, it takes a long time to take down the enemies at level 35 – too long. They want to fix this in the future. However, an overpowered G36 is not a suitable solution. They are looking for other ways. However, this is a complex balancing issue that cannot be resolved overnight.
- They are examining the toughness in PvP. It is not the point if agents can shoot at each other for minutes and neither falls.
- For solo players, they want to improve the game quality. The difficulty difference between the hard and challenge modes is too large. They are also searching for solutions here.
- Additionally, the community developers briefly addressed the question of whether new skills will be introduced in the future, such as drones. Here, Hamish Bode responded that he would find that really cool. There are always options to introduce as the game grows and evolves.
However, one cannot yet talk about the upcoming Survival update in The Division.
