New graphics card drivers from Nvidia are out, designed specifically for The Division. However, they are causing issues.
Last night, new Nvidia drivers went live. As a diligent and respectable PC gamer, I installed them immediately, hoping they would be optimized for The Division as promised.
After that, nothing worked. Graphics card error, Blue Screen, had to restart and perform system recovery.
As reported by vg247, I am not the only one experiencing these problems. Currently, it is unclear what is causing them. It could be that the issues mainly affect players who use multiple monitors or players who upgraded their Windows version to Win10 instead of performing a “clean” installation. Naturally, I fall into both target groups. The driver team at Nvidia is currently investigating the matter.
Nvidia advises against using the express installation, suggesting instead “Custom -> Clean Install Installation.” Vg247 and I also recommend: Keep your drivers for now. A Blue Screen is not fun.
