In The Division, a funny video is circulating: This is how the community developer Hamish Bode reacts when the worst exotic drops.
Just a few days ago, we reported on the “NinjaBike Messenger Bag”, a backpack that is considered by the community to be the worst exotic in the game. It was introduced with update 1.5 as a named gear piece with a unique talent, and even back then, it looked pale compared to other named gear that provided various damage boosts.
This is the talent of the NinjaBike backpack:
- If you die in the Dark Zone, you lose less loot (1 less public item) and 20% less Dark Zone XP.
With update 1.6, this specific talent became even worse and nearly completely useless. Because the update introduced the change that you no longer lose Dark Zone experience and currency when you are killed in the DZ and are not rogue. In other words, the effect of losing 20% less DZ XP is now unnecessary for anyone.
Even community developers know: NinjaBike is trash
The developers are not unaware that the NinjaBike backpack has a bad reputation among agents. In the recent “State of the Game” streams, this item has been mentioned repeatedly, but no specific adjustment plans have been communicated.
Now a new video amuses the community, which further underscores how miserable this exotic is. In this clip, community developer Hamish Bode opens several containers, including an exotic one. What is inside? Correct, the NinjaBike backpack!
His reaction is delightful: He bursts out laughing and shouts: “Boo!” He then promptly dismantles the backpack. After all, this is the only thing you can do with this exotic – break it down into crafting materials.
In the comments, some agents are glad that the developers at least know that this item has no use and needs to be reworked. Other users write that the developers should play their own game much more to understand the frustration of the agents.
In conclusion: Bode openly and honestly shows that the NinjaBike backpack is absolutely worthless. It remains to be seen when and if this exotic will be adjusted.
