Starting today, on March 2nd, new Twitch Drops for The Division are available. Watch the developers play to receive valuable loot.
Throughout March, the developers want to celebrate the two-year anniversary of The Division with you. For this purpose, a Global Event will take place every weekend in March, so you can complete your secret gear sets.
Additionally, there are new “Twitch Drops” to celebrate. Twitch Drops in The Division took place already in early December and mid-January: You had to link your Twitch account with your Ubisoft Club account, then watch the developers’ livestreams for a certain time and as a reward, you received weapon skins in The Division.
Now you can participate in new Twitch Drops with new rewards throughout March.
What you need to know about the Twitch Drops in March 2018
The Twitch Drops run from March 2nd to March 30th. A specific start time has not been announced, but the community manager AmperCamper usually streams every Friday evening – by then the Twitch Drops should already be active.
To earn loot from the Twitch Drops, you must watch the developers play for a certain amount of time. We embed the official Division Twitch channel here – you need to watch this when the stream is live:
The longer you watch, the more rewards you will receive:
- For 30 minutes: 3 Cipher Keys
- For 60 minutes: The Asher Vanity Outfit
- For 90 minutes: 3 Cipher Keys
- For every additional 30 minutes (up to a maximum of 6 hours) you will receive 5 Cipher Key Fragments

Keep in mind that you do not have to watch the Division stream for 6 hours straight to earn the maximum loot. You can spread the stream time over March; the time will be counted for the Twitch Drops.
The developers promise that they will stream extensively in March – especially when the Global Events are live. So you will have many opportunities to earn the Twitch Drops.
How to get the Twitch Drops for free
You will only receive the loot from the Twitch Drops if you complete the following steps:
- You need a Twitch account and a Ubisoft Club account
- Link the accounts via drops-register.ubi.com – you must log in to both accounts and then authorize the process
- Then watch one or more streams on the Division Twitch channel this month – for as long as you want. You should receive notifications as soon as you receive Twitch Drops.
- Then visit the reward vendor in the Operations Base and grab the Cipher Keys. You can find the reward vendor in the entrance area of the base. Enter through the main entrance and head left. He is standing next to the weapon and equipment vendor.
Here is a tutorial on how to link the accounts:
What are Cipher Keys?
You need Cipher Keys to open encrypted containers at the Premium Vendor. These containers contain only random cosmetic items, such as skins, emotes, or outfit parts.
Cipher Keys can either be purchased from the Premium Vendor for real money or crafted with key fragments. The latter can drop randomly from named bosses. In March, you will now have another chance to obtain the keys for free through Twitch Drops.
