Actually, the new expansion “Warlords of New York” for The Division 2 is supposed to start on March 3rd. However, PC players can already start today. When exactly and how it will be on the other two platforms, PS4 and Xbox One, we explain here.
This is what’s happening today in The Division 2: The Division 2 is receiving a new major update today, on March 2nd. Included are both Title Update 8 and the preload for Warlords of New York, which is set to start on March 3rd.

Many can hardly wait to dive into the new content. And PC agents can be especially excited. Because for them, the new Warlords expansion does not start on March 3rd, but already today, on March 2nd.
Warlords of New York: Exact Release Date and Preload for PC, PS4 and Xbox
How do you even get to New York? Before you can rush to the helicopter pilot at the White House and have him take you to New York, there are some platform-dependent things to consider:
- UPDATE 1:04 PM: Warlords of New York can now be played on all platforms – so not only on PC, but also on Xbox One and PS4!
When can you play Warlords of New York on PC? The Warlords expansion will be released worldwide at the same time on PC. Here in Germany, it will be playable on March 2nd – specifically around 12:00 PM noon.
Once you have downloaded the new update, you can basically start with Warlords as soon as the servers come back online and today’s maintenance is completed. Officially, it is indicated for 12:00 PM.
- UPDATE 12:03 PM: The maintenance has been extended by 30 minutes, so until 12:30 PM. PC players will also have to be patient a little longer.
- UPDATE 12:34 PM: Maintenance has been extended again by 30 minutes, so approximately until 1:00 PM.
- UPDATE 1:04 PM: Maintenance is now completed and the servers are back online – at least on PS4. Have fun and good loot, Agents!
When can you play Warlords of New York on PS4 and Xbox One? Console players on PS4 and Xbox One can also play after maintenance, but only the new content from Title Update 8.
For Warlords, however, they will have to wait a little longer. The new expansion starts here at midnight on March 3rd (German time), so in the night from Monday to Tuesday.

The console versions of Warlords of New York are tied to the local times of their respective release regions and start there at midnight. However, the PC version’s release is tied to the end of the relevant maintenance. This creates the difference.
