The Division 2 is facing some issues at the start of the Private Beta. The developers from Massive have now explained which errors are currently a top priority.
What happened? The Private Beta for The Division 2 started today, February 7, at 10:00 AM. After a relatively smooth launch, issues began to arise shortly after. Some players experienced black screens, others were banned for no reason or encountered performance drops.
The developers have already fixed some errors and are working on others. The development team has now addressed in a blog post which issues are currently at the top of their priority list.
These errors in the beta should be resolved as quickly as possible: The developers emphasize in their blog that they will thoroughly test The Division 2 during the beta. To ensure the best possible experience, they will regularly publish a list of known issues and bugs in the forums that they are currently working to fix.
Currently, there are two issues being worked on intensively. These apparently existed before the start of the beta, but are still present in this testing phase:
- The game client can crash if you play The Division 2 Beta for an extended period of time.
- If you haven’t started the game yet but receive an invitation from a friend who is already in the game, it can cause the game to crash as soon as you start the Beta of The Division 2 via the invitation.
Here are the temporary solutions: The developers have also presented temporary solutions for these known bugs:
- As a temporary solution for the time-related crash, the developers recommend proactively shutting down the game every 2 – 3 hours at an appropriate moment.
- To prevent the crash from the friend’s invitation, it is advised to start the Beta first and then accept the invitation in the game.
