In The Division, Ubisoft has now revealed in a video what Year 1 of the MMO shooter will entail. There are some exciting things to come.
The launch of The Division is just around the corner. To make the purchase more appealing, Ubisoft has released a video outlining the Year-One content. First, there will be two free updates, followed by three expansions. We present them here.
This is the content that will be released in Year 1
Initially, the following free updates will come:
- Update 1.1: Incursions: A brand new endgame activity specifically designed for teamwork will launch in April. You will face seemingly unbeatable opponents; however, you will be rewarded with new, powerful weapons and gear.
- Update 1.2: Conflict: This update brings new features to the Dark Zone and is planned for May. It is said to be the “beginning of a wild manhunt in the Dark Zone.” Additionally, a fresh operation will take place at the well-known Columbus Circle.
Throughout the year, three paid expansions will be released, which are included in the Season Pass (thus also in the Gold Edition and the Sleeper Agent Edition). Each DLC builds on the existing The Division content, continues the agents’ journey, and advances with new content, gear, and gameplay.
- Expansion 1: Underground: This DLC is expected to be available in June. Here you can explore the previously uncharted underground world of The Division. You will face deadly enemies in a seemingly endless tunnel network with up to three other agents.
- Expansion 2: Survival: This DLC is set to be released in the summer. As the title suggests, you must survive for as long as possible in a new challenge. You will need to gather supplies and craft high-tech materials. Or will you succumb to temptation and go rogue?
- Expansion 3: Last Stand: A new threat will arise this coming winter. Prepare to face a relentless enemy.
The Division is said to be an ever-evolving player experience. Your agent will become stronger as they gain more experience.
It should be noted that Xbox One will receive the game content one month before PC and Playstation 4.
Additionally, more features will be added throughout the year, such as Loot Trading (in April) and Dark Zone Features (in March). Furthermore, new Gear Sets, more weapons, daily missions, weekly missions, Dark Zone events, and a Challenge Mode will be introduced.
