Update 12:04 PM: According to Massive, the maintenance is now over. The servers should be available again on all platforms. There were no additions to the patch notes.
The Division 2 has scheduled urgent maintenance today for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The servers will also be offline for some time. How does the maintenance proceed? And what do the patch notes say?
What is the maintenance about? Actually, there were no maintenance works planned for today for The Division 2. However, as the developers of Massive just announced on Twitter, an emergency maintenance has been scheduled for this morning.
These are the key times:
- The maintenance work will begin today at 11:00 AM German time.
- Thus, downtime will start, and the servers will be offline for a while.
- The server downtime is expected to last for one hour. So, anyone wanting to play comfortably will have to take an enforced break.
- By noon, at 12:00 PM, the Division 2 servers should be back online and the maintenance should end – provided everything goes according to plan.
However, keep in mind that the maintenance could end a bit earlier or even a few hours later. The times are therefore only for rough orientation and are not 100% binding. Especially as this is an unplanned maintenance, there could potentially be delays.
What is the reason for the maintenance? The patch notes reveal: So far, Massive only indicates back-end changes as the reason for the urgent maintenance – as with the last maintenance on April 14. These are being made to resolve server crashes.
No further information is currently available, but they may follow during the maintenance. If this is the case, we will update it here as soon as possible.
