The Division has scheduled emergency maintenance today, August 19th, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. During this unplanned maintenance, the servers will also go offline. But what is the reason? What do the patch notes say?
What is happening today with The Division 2? Frequent maintenance is something players are used to in The Division 2. However, usually, maintenance is announced at least a day in advance.
Today, however, things were different, and the developers at Massive announced the work shortly before maintenance began. It started at 2:30 PM.
Everything we know about the unplanned maintenance on August 19th
The process: For today’s maintenance, you should note the following times:
- The maintenance starts at 2:30 PM German time
- At the same time, downtime begins, and the servers go offline
- The maintenance is expected to last 90 minutes today. You will have to take a forced break from The Division 2 for that long
- If everything goes according to plan, the servers should be back online around 4:00 PM German time
- This would also mark the end of today’s maintenance
Keep in mind: During the maintenance, there may be changes to the schedule. Especially the ending time of the maintenance is often adjusted. If any changes occur to today’s schedule, we will adjust this article accordingly.
Maintenance on August 19th – The Patch Notes
What is changing today? The reason for the sudden maintenance is provided by Massive rather briefly:
- A fix for a back-end error that came into the game with yesterday’s maintenance (on August 18th) has been released
While this sounds rather unimpressive, it was apparently important enough to conduct an emergency maintenance. However, Massive does not go into further detail. There are apparently no other changes or fixes on the agenda today.
What’s still exciting today: Not only the unscheduled maintenance is making waves today. Many players of The Division 2 are hoping for tangible details about the new Endless Mode. As Massive recently announced, this is supposed to be introduced in a skyscraper with Title Update 11 – much earlier than many thought.
