In The Division 2 you can create this solo build that allows you to be well-equipped as a solo player, especially in PvE.
The Division 2 is a shared-world shooter primarily aimed at players who enjoy defeating enemies together in co-op, grabbing loot, and optimizing their builds in cooperation with each other.
However, The Division 2 also offers a lot for single players. To ensure you are well-equipped as lone wolves against all dangers in Washington D.C., we present you with a build that excels in PvE.
Who is the creator of the solo build? This is the best solo build that YouTuber MarcoStyle uses when playing alone. Theoretically, the build is also effective in PvP, but usually the 1-shot sniper build is the best choice there.
Here you can see the solo build in the video:
How to create the top build for single players
The advantages of the build: As a solo player, you must find the balance between
- dealing a lot of damage (so the enemies die)
- sustaining enough damage (so you don’t die constantly)
- and keeping yourself alive (since you have no teammates to help you)
This build aims to provide you with a good combination of these three factors.
You will need the following gear (all high-end): Gear from 6 different brands is used. Only the first bonus of each brand set is active:
- Mask from Sokolov Concern (+10% SMG damage) with a bonus for damage against elites
- Backpack from Gila Guard (+5% armor) with bonuses for health points, weapon damage, and armor; 1st talent “Safeguard” causes that killing an enemy grants 150% bonus to repair and healing effects for 20 seconds; 2nd talent grants +10% armor
- Chest piece from Fenris Group AB (+10% assault rifle damage) with bonuses for critical hit chance, armor, and weapon damage; talent “Berserker” means that for every 10% less armor you deal 10% more damage
- Gloves from Alps Summit Armament (+10% shortened cooldown) with a bonus for assault rifle damage; talent “Clutch” means critical hits repair 15% health points and 2% armor
- Holster from Wyvern Wear (+7% critical hit damage) with a bonus for shortened cooldown
- Knees from Murakami Industries (+8% health points) with a bonus for armor; talent means that after 3 seconds in cover, your armor repairs by 5% per second

When it comes to the talents of the gear, you should pay attention to 2 things:
- Increase damage against elites (talent “Hard Hitting” for +15% damage against elites, MarcoStyle has this talent on the chest piece, holster, and mask)
- Increase your chances of survival (the 1st talent on the backpack called “Safeguard” is particularly crucial, as it allows you to stay alive longer; even the Chem launcher significantly repairs your armor. And the bonuses of the other talents are also increased by 150%!). The talents on the gloves and knees are also top, as Safeguard greatly enhances their effects
In total, the build achieves 72% damage against elites, allowing you to bring down enemies with yellow health bars extremely quickly.
This is what makes the build so strong: You can deal a lot of damage but have several very good passive healing talents active, so your armor is constantly topped off.
You don’t need to invest heavily in skill strength. The skill mods require too much skill strength to unlock, making them not worth it, and with Safeguard, your Chem launcher is strong enough anyway.
You will need the following weapons (all high-end):
- Vector SBR 45 SCP (submachine gun) with the talents “Preservation”, which repairs 5% of armor per kill over 3 seconds – headshot kills improve the repair, “Strained”, which means that for every 5% less armor, you deal +10% more critical hit damage, and “Allegro”, which increases the fire rate by 10%. For the mods, it’s worth increasing critical hit chance – so you can reach the critical hit chance cap of 61%.
This high critical hit chance works excellently with the “Clutch” talent on the gloves.
- G36 C (assault rifle) with the key talent “Preservation”, which repairs 5% of armor per kill over 3 seconds – headshot kills improve the repair
You will need the following skills:
- Amplifier Chem Launcher: Releases a gas cloud that repairs and enhances your armor
- Reviver Drone: Sends out small drones that revive you when you die. You shouldn’t die often with this build, but if it happens, this skill saves you and you don’t have to start over
The specialization is the demolitionist. With that you get:
- a grenade launcher as a unique weapon
- a special armor kit that repairs your armor by 70% and improves weapon handling by 100% for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, the remaining 30% of armor is repaired. Keep in mind that these effects are also increased by Safeguard by 150%.
- +15% submachine gun damage
In total, you have a build that allows for a lot of damage and keeps you alive. You deal many critical hits that also heal you.
Even though this build is specifically designed for solo players – you will also perform well in a group.
