Today, on March 18th, the servers of The Division 2 will go down. The skill issues are expected to be reduced.
This evening, on March 18th, the developers of The Division 2 will conduct unscheduled maintenance. The servers will go down for a short time.
These are the important times on March 18th:
- At 10:15 PM, the servers will be shut down. From that point, you will no longer be able to play. A countdown will run in the game to remind you to finish the activity you are currently in.
- The servers will be down for 15 minutes. Therefore, you can play again starting at 10:30 PM.
Update 10:35 PM: Players are still being bombarded with various error codes when logging in. Everything is included from Mike to Echo and Delta. Servers are not yet running.
Update 10:40 PM: Massive states that the servers should be back up soon.
What is changing today?
This issue is being addressed: Massive is reducing the cooldown issue with the skills.
The issue causes many skills, which should normally be active for a long time, like the drone, the shield, or the drone stock, to disappear shortly after activation. This is particularly frustrating with the shield when you want to hide behind it and suddenly find yourself exposed to gunfire.
The skills self-destruct immediately and enter a 15-second cooldown. We reported on this skill issue.

This is what Massive says now: “Good news, agents,” the developers state. Because they apparently were able to identify several issues causing the skill bugs. The team worked hard over the weekend and today to find a fix for these annoyances.
Most of these can be fixed today during maintenance. A future patch will eliminate the remaining skill bugs. But from today, the skills should work significantly more reliably.
This patch will be released sometime this week.
Until then, you should avoid the talents “EXTRA” and “OVERLAP,” which Massive identified as the culprits.
Massive thanks all players who provided feedback so that these skill issues could be resolved as quickly as possible. The “health of the game” remains the highest priority. Only when the current player experience is very good for everyone will new content be delivered. This was emphasized by Massive last week.
