In The Division 2, Season 1 begins on March 10th. Players can earn various seasonal rewards across a total of 100 levels. We will show you what you get with the paid premium branch and what you can completely get for free.
What is Season 1 all about? To improve the content flow, The Division 2 will implement Seasons in its second year. This is intended to keep the shooter regularly supplied with new content, ensuring there is always something to do.
The first season, Season 1, starts on March 10th and will provide The Division 2 with fresh content over the course of 12 weeks. However, accessing Seasons requires the new Warlords expansion. Otherwise, you will miss out on this and numerous other new features.
This is how the Seasons work: The Seasons are meant to enrich the endgame of The Division 2 while simultaneously advancing the story in a mini-campaign after Warlords of New York.
Every week there will be a new seasonal activity to keep the agents busy. This includes various events or leagues, among other things. You can find out more about this here: The Division 2 now relies on Seasons in the endgame like Destiny – Here’s how they work.
A Season also brings with it 100 unique levels, where you can level up by collecting XP and earn various seasonal rewards.
The rewards are drawn from two different branches – a free branch available to all Warlords owners, and a premium branch that can be accessed by purchasing a Season Pass for 10€.
By the way, when purchasing the Warlords expansion, the premium path, i.e., the Season Pass for the first season, is already included. So if you have purchased Warlords of New York, you will automatically have premium access in Season 1. Without Warlords, you cannot participate in the Seasons at all. In Season 2, however, everyone will have to pay extra for the premium branch.
Here are all the rewards from the Season Pass of Season 1
Please note: Even though every Warlords purchaser can earn all seasonal content in Season 1, the rewards are already divided into free and premium to clarify what type of rewards can be expected with and without the corresponding Season Pass for future Seasons.
What do you miss without premium access? In short: Everything important and gameplay-related can also be obtained through the free rewards branch. This includes the new gear sets, named weapons, new brand equipment, or a new Exotic – Coyote’s Mask.
The Season Pass and thus the Season are actually free. Without premium, you mainly miss out on cosmetic rewards such as colors, optional weapon skins, or additional crafting resources.
Without purchasing the Season Pass, you will not receive a reward at each of the 100 seasonal levels, but only at some. With premium access, you will receive one or more rewards at every level. Additionally, you will get everything that is also available through the free branch.
The prizes are distributed such that a large part of them is already available in the first third (up to level 35) of the Season 1 Pass. Players should not feel compelled to play through the entire Season out of fear of missing something important.
Here is an overview of all rewards from the Season 1 Pass: In this YouTube video by NothingButSkillz, you can see at which seasonal level you receive which free prize and which premium reward.
The upper branch contains the free prizes, while the lower branch contains the premium rewards.
What do you think of these rewards? Do you think the additional 10 euros would be worth it? By the way, cool new Hunter masks are available now:
