The Beta of The Division 2 is just around the corner. We give you an insight and tell you the start date, duration, preload start, and content of the Private Beta.
About the game: Before The Division 2 is released worldwide for all players, Ubisoft is testing the game in a private beta. In this version, players will get a first glimpse of the new game in the Tom Clancy series and can play initial missions.
We provide you with all the information about the beta version and reveal when you can test The Division 2.
This is the new trailer for the Private Beta: On Wednesday evening, Ubisoft released a new trailer for the Private Beta. We present it to you here in German.
When does the beta start? Starting Thursday, February 7th, at 10 AM, players in Germany can play the private beta of The Division 2. From then on, the beta lasts exactly 4 days, until it ends on Monday, February 11th, at 10 AM.
If you can hardly wait now, you might want to warm up with the first part.
When does the preload start? The preload for the Private Beta of The Division 2 should begin 24 hours before the beta starts. That would be on Wednesday, February 6th, at 10:00 AM German time.
This is how you participate: In order to participate in the private beta, you must have pre-ordered The Division 2. Every pre-order customer gets access to the private beta. In the official Discord channel for The Division 2, many codes are still to be given away. Maybe you’ll get lucky.
If you registered on the beta website, you may have received a code this way. From February 6th at 6 PM, participants can additionally invite three friends via the beta website. However, they cannot invite anyone else.

This is how the download works: If you ordered the beta in the PSN, Xbox, or Uplay store, you have direct access to the beta. You do not need a code.
You need to search for the client on Xbox One and PS4 in the respective stores:
If you pre-ordered The Division 2 from a retailer, you should have received an email with the code from them. You can then redeem this code on the official website. After that, you should receive another email with the access code for the Private Beta.
You then redeem it on your platform in the Xbox Store or PSN Store . Uplay users should see the beta listed under “My Games”. If you pre-ordered in the Epic Store, you will also receive an email with a direct access code.
What will be the size of the beta? The download size is approximately 46 GB on PS4, Xbox One, and PS4. Before the beta begins, there will also be a small 200MB patch.

Test some features of The Division 2
This is what the Private Beta contains: The contents of the beta are intended to give a taste of the release version. Initially, you only have one character available, which can be selected from certain presets. Your level is initially set to level 7.
The following things are playable:
- Two main missions: Hotel Grand Washington and Jefferson Trade Center
- The base of operations in the White House
- Five side missions
- A civil base that can be expanded
- The three specializations
- Additional activities in the open world such as control points
- The Dark Zone East, one of the three new Dark Zones, can be explored
- Combat: A 4v4 PvP mode

These missions are available: There are a total of 5 different playable side missions:
- Empire Autumn Hotel

You will explore seven different zones, all of which have specific level requirements:

A special mission will start later: In addition to the content mentioned above, there is a location invasion mission. This will start on February 8th at 10 AM. There is no further information about this yet.

So much endgame is in the beta: If you complete the “Jefferson Trade Center” mission, three level-30 characters will be unlocked for your account. Each of these characters will have one of the specializations equipped:
- Survival Specialist
- Destruction Expert
- Sniper
These specializations will only be unlocked at level 30. Each has its own “Signature” weapon, which are essentially the new super attacks for each player.
- The Sniper receives a caliber .50 precision rifle,
- the Destruction Expert gets a grenade launcher
- and the Survival Specialist uses a crossbow.
The specializations are just one of the things that make The Division 2 differ from The Division 1.
Additionally, you will see what awaits you in the PvE endgame. Here, Massive has incorporated a special twist that is meant to shake up the game after completing the story.

These languages can be selected:
- Audio: English
- Text: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, traditional Chinese, Korean
Note: The Private Beta of The Division 2 is not subject to a non-disclosure agreement. Players can therefore capture all content. Nevertheless, Ubisoft wants to emphasize that the beta is not the final version of the game. Any bugs are therefore not automatically in the game at release.
