The developers of The Division 2 are conducting emergency maintenance today, September 24, across all platforms – that is, on PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC. There is a server down, the servers will be offline for several hours. Read here for everything important about the process, the downtime, and the patch notes.
Update 12:52 PM: After a 15-minute extension, the maintenance has been completed. You can start again, the servers are online:
What is the maintenance about? Two days ago, Title Update 11 and the new Season 3 launched for The Division 2. But alongside new content such as the Summit mode or 3 fresh Exotics, numerous annoying bugs and issues crept into the game and have been plaguing agents since then. Some of these are now to be fixed with today’s maintenance.
This is how the maintenance will proceed today
These are the important times: According to Massive, the following process is planned for today’s maintenance:
- Start is at 9:30 AM CEST
- Along with the maintenance, the downtime begins, the servers go offline
- The maintenance should last about 3 hours. During this time, you also cannot play The Division 2
- If everything goes smoothly, the Division 2 servers should be back online by 12:30 PM CEST at the latest
- Once the downtime ends, today’s maintenance is also completed
Keep in mind: The process shown here may change. Especially the end of the maintenance has often been postponed in recent weeks and months – both forward and backward. If anything does not go according to plan today, you will find out here in the article.
What do the patch notes say?
This is what changes today: The patch notes remain quite concise today, and one has to say: unfortunately. Because there are currently many problems and potential issues after TU11. The following annoying bugs will be fixed today:
- A problem has been fixed that prevented players from obtaining the new exotic chest piece Ridgeway’s Pride
- A problem with the Stranded Tanker mission has been fixed, which blocked progress there
These problems remain: Those were only 2 of a multitude of annoying bugs. Issues such as among others
- the seasonal intro that cannot be skipped and is stuck in an endless loop
- equipped mods that suddenly switch their attributes or functions
- active skills that suddenly become invisible
- the constantly and inexplicably blinking SHD watch
- numerous bugs in the new mode The Summit
remain in place for the time being. They are expected to be addressed and fixed in the coming days or as soon as possible.
