Today, on April 16th, Update 2.1 for The Division 2 has been released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We have summarized everything important regarding the server status, patch notes, and maintenance for you.
The developers at Massive Entertainment continue to work on The Division 2 and are releasing the next update for the title today on all platforms. Here’s what you need to know:
Update:
- 9:30 AM – The servers are now offline
- 10:30 AM – The update is now available for download. It is approximately 1.25 GB on the PS4
- 11:20 AM – The servers are back online, at least on the PS4. You can play again
When does the server maintenance for The Division 2 start?
- The maintenance is scheduled to start at 9:30 AM our time
- According to official statements, the downtime is expected to last around 3 hours. The servers will likely remain offline until 12:30 PM.
- During this period, you will not be able to log in

When will Update 2.1 be released? The update will be released during the maintenance. No specific time has been provided.
What changes with Update 2.1? With this patch, players should not expect substantial content. Update 2.1 will mainly bring bug fixes to the game. Massive communicated this in a preview for the patch.

Patch notes for Update 2.1 for The Division 2: The patch notes for today’s patch have already been released by Massive. Here’s what’s included in the new update:
- A problem will be fixed where enemy NPCs got stuck in a T-pose when killed out of the player’s sight.
- Another issue with the reviver drone stock will be addressed, which caused the skill not to function. They are continuing to work on ensuring that players are still not revived through the skill in some cases.
- A problem will be fixed that prevented “Gila Guard” gear items from being donated to the daily project “Brand Request: Gila Guard” at the Campus Settlement.
- A problem will be resolved where the blueprint for the workbench upgrade was not correctly granted to players when they ranked up.
- A problem will be fixed that caused the 2-piece bonus of the “True Patriot” set not to trigger correctly. Previously, armor damage in PvE was useless.
