Today, on May 14th, the big Title Update 3 for The Division 2 has been released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We provide you with all the information about the patch size of Update 3.0 and the server downtime. When will the servers of The Division 2 be offline and when can you play again?
When exactly is the update coming? So far, it has only been announced, that the update should arrive this week. However, we know that it will be released today, on May 14th. The accompanying maintenance is scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM.
- Update 9:30 AM – The Division 2 servers are offline as announced.
- Update 10:10 AM – The update is live and can be downloaded – at least on PS4. It is 8,631 MB in size. The maintenance is still ongoing.
- Update 11:55 AM – The servers are back online, so you can get started.
Servers offline – When will The Division 2 be back?
How long will the servers be down? You will not be able to play for about 3 hours. The maintenance will last this long. Additionally, you will need to download the new update in order to play again. The servers should be back online around 12:30 PM, if everything goes according to plan.
What’s in the big Update 3?
How big will Title Update 3 be? According to Ubisoft, the update will be approximately 6.5 GB in size. You should make some space in advance so that you can download the update without any issues.
The update comes for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
What does the new update bring? Detailed patch notes are not yet available. Ubisoft will provide these during the course of the day. We will link them here as soon as they are available for you.
Nonetheless, the update has already been tested for about 3 weeks on the PTS (Public Test Servers). This allows for a rough idea of what will be included.
- After missions, a completion screen will be shown, revealing your earned data.
- Many balance changes will be made to gear and weapon talents. For example, gear sets are expected to become more useful.
- PvP and the Dark Zone will receive adjustments. Bosses will guarantee contaminated loot.
- A new raid is expected to be included in the update. It is set to appear after the update goes live. However, there is no exact time for this yet – a few days are anticipated.
Will anything be done regarding gear score? Ubisoft had originally planned to increase the gear score in Update 3. However, due to negative feedback on the PTS, this change will not be addressed in the update.
What will be the highlight? For most players, the announced raid is likely to be the major highlight. It is the first real raid in the Division’s history. Our author Tarek is also most looking forward to it.
