Today in The Division 2, there are maintenance works on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with servers going offline on all platforms for a few hours. We summarize everything important about the process and the patch notes for you.
Update 12:11 PM: According to Massive, the servers are now coming back online on all platforms. The maintenance has thus been around 20 minutes shorter than originally planned. Have fun and good loot, Agents.
What’s happening today in The Division 2? Today, a new event called “Reanimated” starts in The Division 2 under Season 1. Many are curious about what it entails. Zombies have even been speculated.
But before you can get a first impression of the event, there will be maintenance work including server downtime. You will have to take a multi-hour forced break this morning if you want to play The Division 2.
All important information about Division 2 maintenance on May 5
This is how maintenance will proceed today: The developers have already announced via tweet which times will be important today.
- The maintenance starts at 9:30 AM German time. At the same time, the downtime begins, and the Division 2 servers go offline.
- The server downtime is scheduled for 3 hours today. During this time window, the changes will be implemented, and you cannot play The Division 2.
- If everything goes smoothly, the servers should come back online around 12:30 PM. This would also signal the end of maintenance, allowing you to dive back into the action.
Keep in mind that the time indications, especially the end of maintenance, may still be adjusted throughout the day, as has happened before. If anything changes in today’s process, we will update the article accordingly.
What changes today? The patch notes: Today’s changes have also been communicated by Massive. They are quite manageable today:
- More spawn points have been added for reinforcements during the Warhound convoy activity. This is intended to adjust the time needed to complete this activity to that of other activities in the open world.
- A problem was fixed that allowed Kajika, one of the warlords from the new expansion, to be killed in the “Pathway Park” main mission before the final encounter.
What’s next for The Division 2 in May? While server-side updates will continue to regularly fix the most pressing issues in the game, the developers are already working on the next big client update, Title Update 9.1 (TU 9.1).
