Today, on December 8th, there is a lot happening with The Division 2. First, you can expect maintenance work on all platforms (PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, PC). The servers will go offline for several hours while Title Update 12 is deployed. After the server downtime, the new Season 4 will start. What is the maintenance about? The developers at Massive continue to work steadily on The Division 2, and today the game receives its next major update – Title Update 12. On the PS5, it is 5.138 GB in size.
The new patch brings numerous changes, improvements, and new features to the game. In addition, Season 4 also kicks off today, bringing some new content with it. Therefore, maintenance is being carried out today.

This is how today’s maintenance will proceed
These are the important times: Massive has already shared the schedule on Twitter beforehand. Here is the plan for today:
- Maintenance starts at 9:30 AM German time
- This also marks the start of the downtime, the servers will go offline now
- Maintenance work is planned for today for 3 hours. During this time, you cannot log in and consequently cannot play The Division 2
- If everything goes according to plan, the Division 2 servers should be back online by 12:30 PM German time at the latest
- The end of the downtime also marks the end of today’s maintenance
Keep in mind: The plan is a good guideline, but not really set in stone. Especially the end of the maintenance can certainly shift forward or backward. This has often been the case with The Division. If anything goes differently today, you will be informed here in the article in the form of an update.
What is changing today? The Patch Notes
This is what you can expect after the maintenance today: On one hand, a new season starts today – “Season 4: End of Watch.” This comes with a new season pass and brings fresh content like events, leagues, or new rewards. The story of Warlords of New York is also advanced in the context of seasonal manhunts. In the Season 4 manhunt, by the way, you will have to hunt down your former boss.
In addition, the new major Title Update 12 also comes today – including
- the optimization station
- changes and new features for the endless mode “The Summit”
- the global event store
- new weapons and gear – including 3 new exotics, a new gear set, or a new brand set
