Today, maintenance is taking place for The Division 2 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and the servers will be offline for several hours. What times are important today and what is changing? Read here everything important about the process and the patch notes.
Update 12:35 PM: As Massive has now announced, the servers are back online, and today’s maintenance is completed. No additional changes have been made beyond what has already been communicated. Have fun playing, Agents.
What does the maintenance entail? Even after the 2 major updates in April (Title Update 8.5 and Title Update 9), as well as the retraction of a controversial nerf, the developers at Massive continue to work on The Division 2. Therefore, there will be maintenance today, including server downtime, which will also bring some changes.
All you need to know about the maintenance on April 28
This is how the maintenance will proceed today: Massive has already announced the schedule for today on Twitter.
- The maintenance is scheduled to start today at 9:30 AM CEST. At the same time, the Division 2 servers will go offline, and the downtime will begin.
- The server downtime is expected to last 3 hours. During this time, the changes will go live and you will need to take a forced break.
- If the maintenance goes according to plan, the servers will come back online around 12:30 PM. This would conclude today’s maintenance and you can play The Division 2 again.
These times can change during the maintenance, this has happened more than once. If the maintenance ends earlier than planned or extends unexpectedly, we will update this article accordingly.
Overview of the changes – What the patch notes reveal: Besides the schedule, Massive has also published the patch notes. The following changes are expected after today’s maintenance in The Division 2:
- A problem has been resolved that allowed the seeker mine to deal unintended high damage in the Dark Zone.
- A problem has been fixed that allowed the talent “Unstoppable Force” (additional weapon damage per kill. 5% for 15 seconds, up to 5 stacks) to trigger when using allied skills.
By the way, the patch notes can also change during the maintenance. Sometimes not all points ultimately made it into the game, or further changes were added that were not initially listed. We will keep you updated on this.
This is new in The Division 2: With today’s maintenance, the clothing event Urban Jungle and the hunt for Saturn (the event week) – the 3rd target person as part of the seasonal hunt – will end. A new content of Season 1 will launch. After today’s forced break, you can wreak havoc in the Home League New York.
