Today, an unscheduled maintenance is taking place for The Division 2 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Among other things, the most controversial nerf from TU9 will be reversed. The servers will also go offline. Here you can find out how the process looks and what else the patch notes reveal.
Update 1:00 PM: According to Massive, the maintenance work is now completed, and the servers should now be back online across all platforms. Have fun gaming and good loot, Agents.
Why the maintenance? After the major Title Update 9 was released last Tuesday, there was a lot of anger in The Division 2. Generally, many changes were not exactly welcomed with cheers, but the initially secret 40% nerf of the popular M1A weapon really stirred up the mood among many agents.
Meanwhile, Massive has commented on the whole matter and announced that this controversial nerf will be reversed until they can adequately revise the weapon. The reversal should happen this week and is now one of the reasons for today’s unscheduled maintenance, which comes with a downtime. So today, you will not be able to play The Division 2 for a while.

The schedule for today’s maintenance:
- The unscheduled maintenance is set to begin today at 11:30 AM German time. This is also the start of the downtime; the Division 2 servers will then be offline for a while.
- According to Massive, the server downtime is expected to last about 1.5 hours. During this time, you will have to do without The Division 2.
- If no issues arise, the Division 2 servers should come back online around 1:00 PM German time. This will also mark the end of today’s maintenance work.
Keep in mind: The times are intended as guidelines and may certainly change during the maintenance. It has happened before that maintenance was completed earlier than planned, but also that it had to be extended by hours. If anything changes in today’s schedule, we will update the article accordingly.
What changes today? The patch notes: During the maintenance, the following changes will be made:
- Revised adjustment of M1A Classic/Bakers Dozen. The nerf from Title Update 9 will be partially reversed. In PvE, the 40% damage reduction will be completely reversed. These weapons will be as strong there as they were before TU9. In PvE, the damage reduction will now be 20%, instead of the 40% as in TU9.
- A problem will be fixed that prevents players from attacking generators, which can block progress in missions.
- A problem will be resolved where all turret skill variants fail after being thrown when the “Cool Skills” directive is active.
