In The Division 2 today, on June 23rd, maintenance work is expected on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The servers will go offline for several hours and Season 2 will begin. But when exactly is the downtime? And what do the patch notes say?
Update 11:05 AM: According to Massive, today’s maintenance is now complete – already 90 minutes ahead of the originally planned end. You should now be able to dive into the new Season 2 on all platforms. Have fun and good loot, Agents.
The new season starts today: After the major Title Update 10 has recently shaken things up in the game, another June highlight for The Division 2 starts today – Season 2.
The new season is kicked off by a longer maintenance period. We summarize all important information regarding the maintenance work and Season 2 for you below.
All important information regarding the maintenance on June 23rd
These are the important times for today: In advance, Massive announced how today’s schedule looks:
- Maintenance work is set to begin at 9:30 AM German time
- The server downtime will also begin at that time, which is expected to last 3 hours. You won’t be able to play during that time – at least not The Division 2
- Unless unexpected issues arise, the Division 2 servers should be back online by 12:30 PM German time at the latest
- This would also conclude today’s maintenance
Important: The times given here may still change or be postponed. This does happen occasionally. If anything happens differently today, we will update this article accordingly.
The Patch Notes
What do the patch notes say? The change log is not particularly extensive this time. Essentially, today’s maintenance is all about the start of Season 2:
- The new Season 2 will be implemented
- The Season 2 Pass will be activated in the (in-game) store
- The seasonal level will be reset to 1. Get ready for Season 2
There will apparently be no further changes or fixes today.
What is important about Season 2

What you can look forward to in June: By the way, this is still not everything – June has a lot to offer. On June 30th, a week after the start of Season 2, the new raid from The Division 2 – Operation Iron Horse – will already be released.
This takes place in an old metal foundry near Washington D.C. and brings 2 more new exotics and a new gear set into the game. This new PvE endgame activity requires Agents to have maximum skill and communication.
