Today, on February 2, The Division 2 will receive the new Title Update 12.1. Learn all about the maintenance procedures on all platforms (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Stadia, PC) and what to expect in the game after the long server downtime.
Update 5:33 PM: The servers should now be online again on all platforms; maintenance is complete. Have fun and good loot, Agents.
Update 3:25 PM: The maintenance has just been extended by another 2 hours, until 5:30 PM. The reasons for this are still unknown.
Update 12:30 PM: As Massive just announced, maintenance will be extended by 3 hours. No reasons were given. The servers are expected to remain offline until 3:30 PM.
Why the maintenance? Even though Massive and Ubisoft are currently tight-lipped about the specific future of The Division 2, work is still being done on the game. Today, the shooter receives the new Title Update 12.1.
This includes, among other things, the crossover event with Resident Evil and the next-gen update for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Here you can read everything you need to know about the maintenance process, the exact contents, and the patch notes.
This is how maintenance goes today
These times are important today: Massive has traditionally published the official schedule in advance. Here it is:
- Maintenance starts at 9:30 AM German time
- The downtime also starts immediately; the servers of The Division 2 will go offline
- Today’s maintenance is scheduled for 3 hours. During this time, you will not be able to log in or play The Division 2
- If everything goes smoothly during the maintenance, the Division 2 servers should be back online no later than 12:30 PM German time
- With the downtime, today’s maintenance will also end
Please note: This schedule may change during maintenance – especially the time for the end of maintenance work. It often happens that the developers finish a bit earlier or take longer. If there are any changes to the schedule today, we will update it here as soon as possible.

What to expect today after maintenance: Here are the main changes from Title Update 12.1 at a glance:
- Codename: Nightmares – the crossover clothing event with Resident Evil starts
- The graphic update for next-gen consoles comes into play. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, The Division 2 can be played in 4K and 60 FPS
- Balance changes for the optimization station will go live
