Today, there are maintenance works for The Division 2 early in the morning on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The servers will go offline for a while. During the downtime, Title Update 8 will be released, including game data for the new expansion Warlords of New York. Here you will find the most important information and the official patch notes.
What is the new update about? Today, Title Update 8 (TU8) goes live for The Division 2, bringing numerous changes, such as Gear 2.0 and further RPG elements for all agents.
The preload for the new “Warlords of New York” expansion is also included. As part of the new update, all data needed for your trip to Lower Manhattan in NYC will be downloaded – provided you buy or have already purchased the new addon.
These times are important today:
- The maintenance starts at 9:30 AM CET.
- At that point, the downtime begins and the Division 2 servers will go offline.
- Shortly thereafter, the new update will be ready for download.
- If everything goes according to plan, the servers should be back online after two and a half hours, around 12:00 PM.
UPDATE 12:03 PM: The maintenance has been extended by 30 minutes, until 12:30 PM.
UPDATE 12:34 PM: The maintenance has been extended again by 30 minutes, approximately until 1:00 PM.
UPDATE 1:04 PM: The maintenance is now complete and the servers are back online. The cool part: Warlords is now live on all platforms and not just on PC! You can now explore New York on PS4 and Xbox One despite the initial plan. Have fun and good loot, Agents.
Download sizes: Depending on the platform and type of download, the size may vary.
PS4:
- The download for a completely fresh, digital installation will initially download the base game with a size of 44 GB, followed by Update 8.1, which will be approximately another 70-74 GB.
- A fresh installation from the disc will initially install 44 GB from the medium, followed by an additional download of 70-74 GB.
- Players who already have the game installed, including Title Update 7, can expect a download size between 14 and 16 GB to be ready for Warlords.
Xbox One:
- For a completely fresh, digital installation, 70-74 GB will be downloaded.
- In a fresh disc installation, 44 GB will be installed from the medium, followed by an additional 76 GB download.
- Anyone who already has the base game installed along with Title Update 7 will need to download approximately 60 GB.
PC:
- A fresh installation – whether digital or disc – will entail a download of 59.83 GB.
- For players who already have the base game and Title Update 7 installed, the download will be approximately 42 GB.
Importantly: Regardless of whether you purchase the new expansion or not, all players will need to download the full update, including Warlords content, on all platforms. However, only those who purchase the new expansion will gain access to the Warlords content thereafter.
When can you play? As soon as the servers are back online. However, please note:
- Due to technical circumstances, PC players will be able to start with the Warlords expansion right after this update.
- Console players on PS4 and Xbox One will also be able to play, but they will have to wait until midnight for the new expansion. Warlords of New York will only be available from 12 AM on March 3rd.
