Update 11:59 AM: As Massive just informed via Twitter, the maintenance has been completed ahead of schedule – 30 minutes faster than planned. The servers should now be back up on all platforms.
What’s new with the latest update? The developers are still hard at work on The Division 2 even during the Corona crisis. Two extensive updates are planned for April to address the most urgent issues of the shooter. The first one is coming today in the form of Title Update 8.5.
Anyone wanting to play The Division 2 this morning to advance their progress in Season 1 will have to take a forced break. This is because the patch comes with several hours of maintenance and server downtime.
All important information about today’s maintenance and Title Update 8.5 (TU 8.5)
The procedure – These times are important today:
- The start of maintenance is scheduled for 9:30 AM German time. The servers for The Division 2 will go offline, and the downtime will begin.
- The planned duration of the server downtime is approximately 3 hours. During this time you cannot play The Division 2.
- If everything goes according to plan, the servers should be back online around 12:30 PM German time, and the maintenance will be completed.
Keep in mind that these times are just an approximate timeframe. Maintenance can certainly end earlier or be delayed by several hours. Both have occurred several times in the past weeks and months. If the times change, we will update this article accordingly.
What changes with Title Update 8.5? The patch notes: The scope of the update, including the individual changes coming with TU 8.5, was already known before today’s maintenance.
The patch brings among other things
- Numerous bug fixes for various annoying errors and issues
- Some gameplay changes
- Balance tuning for NPCs
- As well as adjustments to skills or status effects

What is planned after Title Update 8.5 in April? Not all previously planned and approved changes made it into Title Update 8.5. Some adjustments and fixes require more time and/or extensive testing.
However, these will be included in another extensive update during April – Title Update 9. Further bug fixes and changes to exotics and talents have been communicated so far.
