Today, the major Title Update 9 (TU9) for The Division 2 has been released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The new patch brings various changes and bug fixes to the game and is accompanied by maintenance, during which the servers will be offline for several hours. Update 12:30: As Massive announced on Twitter, the servers on all platforms are now coming back online. The maintenance is over, and TU9 is now live. By the way, anyone logging into The Division 2 until May 5 will receive the Soda Backpack Charm and 3 Clothing Containers for free.
What is new in the update? Today, The Division 2 receives the Title Update 8.5 and already the second major update in April – the Title Update 9 (TU9). The developers at Massive are making numerous changes to their shooter and are trying to improve the game further based on player feedback and address many critical issues like annoying bugs.
However, the new patch comes with a multi-hour maintenance and server downtime. Therefore, there will be a longer forced pause this morning.
Everything Important about Today’s Maintenance and Title Update 9
This is how the maintenance will proceed today:
- The maintenance starts today at 9:30 AM German time. At the same time, the downtime begins, and the Division 2 servers go offline
- The estimated duration of the server downtime will be around 3 hours according to Massive. During this time, you cannot play – at least not The Division 2
- If everything goes as planned, the servers should come back online around 12:30 PM German time, and the maintenance will end
Keep in mind that these details are not set in stone and serve only as a rough framework. It is possible that the maintenance ends earlier than planned or extends by several hours if unforeseen problems arise. Both have occurred multiple times in the last weeks and months.

How big is the update? According to Massive, the update is expected to be around 10 GB in size. The exact size may vary depending on the platform.
What changes with Title Update 9? Here are the patch notes: The major TU9 addresses numerous issues in The Division 2. Therefore, not only is the patch itself substantial, but also the corresponding patch notes are more extensive this time.
Some of the key changes include:
- The Exotic Workshop, a new feature that allows you to upgrade your old Exotics to the new maximum level and reroll their attributes.
