Why was it so unclear? After the end of Year 2, Ubisoft and developer Massive kept quiet about the future of The Division 2. When a new open-world Star Wars game from Massive was announced, the doubts grew.
It went so far that players were worried about the entire franchise and feared that, for example, there would be no The Division 3.
Will there be more of The Division 2? Now, Ubisoft has at least given reassurance regarding The Division 2. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemont has confirmed that there will be more of The Division 2 in 2021 and also in 2022.
