Good news for all fans of The Division 2. In a community update, the developers announced two major Title Updates for 2022. Additionally, a “Year 5” is officially planned. We will show you the content of the roadmap and why not everything is going according to plan on MeinMMO.
The loot shooter The Division 2 had been off the radar for a long time. In 2020, the big expansion “Warlords of New York” was released, but support was supposed to end abruptly and unexpectedly.
It was only when it became clear that the fan base was larger than expected that development was ramped up again on a small scale. This then led to Season 9 with Title Update 15, which apparently was successful enough to keep Division 2 running on “low flame”.
A new community update now shows a roadmap for the planned updates in 2022 – two more are set to come. Additionally, the developers confirm content for “Year 5”. This makes it clear that Division 2 will continue after March 2023.

Division 2: 2 Title Updates Coming in 2022
What does the roadmap reveal? You will get an overview of the approximate release dates of the two planned Seasons 10 and 11 and the content included:
- Season 10
- Starts at the end of August
- New Manhunt
- New gear and weapons
- Legendary difficulty for “Tidal Basin” and “Manning National Zoo”
- Season 10 test server launches in August
- Season 11
- Starts in early December
- New Manhunt
- New game mode
- New gear and weapons
Additionally, minor adjustments are planned, such as “Quality of Life” changes that are intended to enhance the gaming experience.
The community update also mentions the new mode “Countdown”. The developers are pleased with a lot of positive feedback and want to implement a game wish: more settings for the difficulty level of the new mode.
However, there is also a minor setback to report. With the announcement of Season 9, the developers promised extensive revisions to the specializations, which is a kind of class system in Division 2.
For these important revisions, there is still no date. The developers state that they only want to release a date once they are satisfied with the adjustments.
Almost in passing, there is also excellent news for all fans of the loot shooter: The Division 2 will receive a “Year 5”. It is likely that Season 12 will continue in March 2023. However, there are currently no more details available.
Aside from the main title of Division, the roadmap also shows information about some spin-offs that are in development. There was a limited test of the free-to-play title The Division: Heartland, and in early July, a mobile game for Division is also expected to be announced.
