The size of your inventory in The Division 2 will be doubled with Title Update 6. This information was only revealed to the agents who stayed long in the SotG.
Where does the information come from? Yesterday, on September 11th, Massive held a “State of the Game” livestream for the first time after the long summer break. In this briefing, they talked about some new developments regarding loot that will come with Title Update 6.
Right after the information in the SotG, I ended the livestream to promptly summarize the most important loot and gear changes in an article.
But Massive’s Hamish Bode chimed in shortly after, as he had one more piece of information to announce. He called “Breaking News” and revealed: The inventory will be enlarged. From now on, you can store 300 items in your inventory.

Inventory size of 300
How large was the inventory before? At the launch of The Division 2, agents started with an inventory size of 50. However, through several inventory upgrades, one could earn an inventory of up to a maximum of 150 item slots.
A 300-slot inventory thus doubles the storage space for your items this autumn compared to the launch of The Division 2 in March 2019.
This is what agents say about it: This information spread like wildfire on Twitter, and agents cheered on reddit: “Inventory space will be increased to 300!” – of course written in capital letters to emphasize their joy and the significance of the news.
Some agents wondered where this information came from. After all, many had turned off the livestream right after the last word was spoken. Few players expected Hamish Bode to come back.
In loot shooters like The Division 2, inventory size is always a topic of discussion. Already in The Division 1, agents criticized at the beginning that they had far too little space to store all their loot. In the first part, one had to make do initially with only 70 slots before the inventory was expanded to 150 slots.
With Title Update 6 of The Division 2, you will have more options to combine items and create builds. Therefore, expanding the inventory is a welcome and sensible change – after all, you need to store all the items for the builds somewhere.
Title Update 6 will be released in October 2019.
