This is high-end gear: High-end refers to the highest quality level of weapons and armor pieces. There are:
- the gray, dull stuff
- the green items (standard)
- the blue items (specialized)
- the purple items (superior)
- the yellow items (high-end)
Of these quality levels, high-end gear offers the highest stats and the greatest variety of talents. That’s why every agent wants to receive as many “yellow rewards” for their achievements as possible in the endgame. In addition, there are also the sought-after exotics and the gear sets, but with standard items, high-end is the maximum.
Farming high-ends in The Division 2
On Reddit and YouTube, there are several tips on how to farm high-end items. We present 2 methods.
This method comes from Mtashed. He recommends it to those who have little time to play during the day but still want great builds. It is a farming method for the endgame.
This is how the method works: The focus is on the daily missions. These are outlined with white markers, which are subtly indicated here with red arrows:
Select such a mission and set the difficulty to “Challenging”. In the upper image, you can see that the Bank headquarters guarantees 6 high-end rewards on Challenging (World Tier 4). The random drops that can be high-end are not included.
If you attempt these missions solo on Challenging, it can take quite a long time. But even if you need 40 minutes for it, you will receive quite a bit of loot for that time. According to Mtashed, he completes the missions in sometimes 5 or 10 minutes, but he already has a strong endgame build. Here we present a top build for solo players.
If you can’t complete the missions on Challenging, you can play them on Hard. However, there will be significantly fewer rewards.
From a daily mission, you also receive a lot of experience points, which can lead to operational performance containers, and target data. You can use the target data to complete bounty operations. This one here, for example, rewards you with three high-end items on Hard difficulty:
Once you have completed enough bounties, you can play a bounty on Heroic. If you succeed in this, you will be showered with rewards and all kinds of high-end items:
So:
- Play the daily missions (for high-ends and target data)
- Progress through the bounty system (which requires target data)
Dark Zone as a good high-end source
The second method is: Play the Dark Zone. If you quickly clear the landmarks from enemies, you should be able to get around 20 high-ends per hour. However, the danger is that other players may steal your loot.
According to widdz, the Dark Zone is the best place to quickly get high-end items.
- The best way is to enter the Dark Zone in a squad of 4 people.
- Go to the southern Dark Zone, as it is the smallest and landmarks are close together. Kill PvE enemies quickly to get loot, loot boxes, or defeat other agents.
- In the occupied Dark Zone you can farm high-end loot most efficiently.
- If you are at the max DZ rank and quickly kill other players, you will earn a lot of experience points that can lead to loot boxes. If you are on a server where many persistent agents keep coming back in your sight, this is the fastest method to get loot.
- However, if you’re not a PvP lover like widdz, you should clear the landmarks instead of ambushing other agents.
