With the new Title Update 6 for The Division 2, many new “Named Items” have arrived in the game, which come with unique skins and “Perfect Talents”. Right now, there is an unrelenting hunt for the new pieces – But how can you best get them?
What’s currently happening in The Division 2? Just a few days ago, The Division 2 received its biggest patch so far with Title Update 6. The developers revamped many mechanics with TU6, brought a lot of balancing, and gave agents new toys for their builds.
At the forefront are “Named Items”, which have been overhauled with Title Update 6 and now rank somewhere between Exotic and High-End items.
Named Weapons and Armors for Better Builds
What are “Named Items”? These special items are unique versions of equipment already present in the game and come with a unique appearance, backstory, and “Perfect Talents”.
While the story may not interest all players, the special talents are definitely worth a look, even though the perfect versions are not transferable to other equipment items.
Why does everyone want the “Named Items”? Currently, many agents are on the hunt for the new items and are posting their premiere version on reddit to secure the popular status of being the “first”.
Aside from prestige, there are also some reasonable reasons to hunt for the “Named Items”, after all, the new “Legendarys” offer perfect versions of high-end talents, and the right piece can enhance a build by a few valuable percentage points.

- Perfect Vigilance
- Increases weapon damage – Buff on incoming damage disabled
- Normal: +25% / Perfect: +30%
- Perfect Malevolence
- Grants weapon damage when a status effect is triggered
- Normal: +15% / Perfect +20%
- Perfect Ranger
- Increases weapon damage based on the distance to the enemy
- Normal: 2% / Perfect 3% every 5 meters
The list of known “Named” items continues to grow. Currently, there are over 50 of these coveted pieces in circulation, and users on reddit are actively working to complete the list as quickly as possible.
How do I get my first “Named Items”? Named gear items can also drop at lower levels and will soon become part of the personal loot pool. However, the chances increase with difficulty and are still quite low in the first hours of gameplay.
If you’ve been roaming around Washington for a while, it’s not unlikely that you’ve already gotten one of the pieces. These special versions have been around since the release, and Cassie, the secret arms dealer, regularly had one of the now popular items for sale.
Here’s where you can get your first Named Item
If your stash doesn’t yield anything or you haven’t had any loot luck so far, you can also quite easily get your first “Named Item”. With TU6, the vendors have been revamped, and the level 30 clan vendor you trust is happy to hand over your first piece for a few credits.

Invasion Missions with Guaranteed Named Rewards
And where else can you find them? Besides these local sources for named items, there are also good opportunities to snag one of the perfect talents from time to time.
Here are your best chances:
- The first completion of the weekly Tidal Basin mission gives a guaranteed named item
- The other invasion missions give a guaranteed named item on the heroic difficulty
- Bosses at the heroic difficulty can drop a bonus item
- This bonus is either named or exotic
- Every enemy in the game has a chance to drop named items
- The chance increases with difficulty
- Any type of equipment crates in the open world
- Field expertise containers can also contain named items
In particular, the bosses in the invasion missions on the highest difficulty “Heroic” are a reliable source to score many named items each week.
Even weak enemies have “Named Items”
The fact that even small enemies now drop the coveted items will certainly create some lucky moments in an otherwise quiet city patrol.
What else does TU6 have to offer? The new update comes with many new builds, items, and some new missions; additionally, an additional specialization is now available.
The content DLC “Episode 2” was released for Year-1-Pass holders on October 15 and sends the Division to the Pentagon to stop the nasty “Black Tusk” from stealing dangerous technologies. Without a season pass, the content will be available starting October 22.
