The vendor reset refreshes new items in the inventories of vendors in The Division 2 weekly. The fact that not all clan vendors and items are available without switching clans annoys many players. A developer from Massive recently provided a hint on Twitter about how to end the so-called clan hopping.
What is the problem with clan vendors? The vendor reset of The Division 2 always takes place on the night from Friday to Saturday. During this time, the inventories of the various clan vendors are restocked. It’s frustrating when the item you really want is not available from your own clan’s vendor.
Like the players, the clan levels up to level 30. Experience points are collected for the clan through completed activities and projects, and there are bonuses for members or elements for the clan emblem depending on the level.
As the clan levels up, the offerings of the clan vendor change repeatedly. This means that there are many different clan vendors with varying offers, reachable only at certain clan levels.
What is clan hopping and why is it so annoying? To collect all worthwhile items from the vendor reset, it is often necessary to switch clans.
Some agents find this quite frustrating since membership in a clan often has something to do with identification. In closed clans, returning often also requires confirmation from one of the clan leaders.

Clan vendor items soon available for all?
This is how the vendor reset problem is likely to be addressed: On Twitter, Nikki Kuppens, Senior Game Designer at Massive, gave a telling hint about how the problem might be solved. A user complained that, for example, the clan vendor at level 15 can offer better items than a vendor at higher levels. Nikki responded:
That’s more a vendor item availability issue than an item generation issue, so we have some options for resolving that.
The developer says: “That’s more a problem of the availability of vendor items than a problem of item generation – therefore, there are some options for how it can be resolved.” Thus, they give a fairly concrete hint about the direction in which the clan vendor will go.
This could be inferred from the statement: The statement could suggest that items will continue to be generated for the individual clan vendors as before. However, they should become better available for players.
It is also possible that fewer items will be available, but that they will be easier to access.
The solution is expected to come with the next title update 6 in October.
Clan hopping is just annoying!
