Today, on June 3rd, Title Update 3.1 went live in The Division 2. We summarize what changes are made here in the highlights of the patch notes for you.
What’s included in Title Update 3.1: The new larger update for The Division 2 primarily addresses some annoying bugs that have been present in the game for some time. This includes an exploit that could make players nearly invincible in PvP.
The strange behavior of the AI enemies has finally been corrected according to the patch notes. We summarize the most important changes from Title Update 3.1.

Armor exploit fixed in the second attempt
This is the armor exploit: This was an annoying problem that first occurred with Title Update 3. Players could make themselves nearly invincible in the PvP areas of the game using this exploit.
- Due to normalization (adjustment of values), combined with low gear, it was possible to reach armor values beyond 800,000.
- Average builds usually lie between 190,000 and 220,000.
- The result was frustrated PvP players who felt powerless against users of this exploit.
The problem has now been fixed with the patch. This is already the second attempt that Massive is making. Initially, this error was to be fixed during the server maintenance on May 31st.

Patch finally tackles chaos AI
This is the AI problem: Another issue that arose with Title Update 3.0 is the peculiar behavior of NPC enemies.
- They suddenly behaved very erratically and unpredictably
- Additionally, they were more aggressive than usual and rushed blindly at players
- Occasionally, they also ran aimlessly and blindly in one direction, ignoring the players
The AI problem was particularly frustrating for Massive, as it was likely a chain reaction of several smaller bugs. These could make the gaming experience quite uncomfortable for many and further increase the difficulty level. Several fixes were made in Title Update 3.1.
Here are the fixes from the patch notes:
- A bug was fixed where NPCs would run directly past players to take cover.
- A bug was fixed where NPCs would flank players too often.
- A bug was fixed where NPCs would not respond to any combat actions before taking cover or being interrupted mid-movement.
Thus, these problems should be resolved. In the Subreddit of The Division 2, there are already grateful voices, as the AI problem was very challenging for many.

Hunter Masks and Ivory Keys
What’s changing with the masks and keys: In the world of The Division 2, there are several graffiti puzzles that lead to Hunter Masks and Ivory Keys.
However, some players were unable to get all of them, despite following all the necessary steps. This bug has existed for quite some time and was not the first bug affecting the masks and keys.
Now all players should finally be able to obtain the masks and keys. The fix should also allow them to hunt the Hunters again and earn all missing keys and masks.
Here are the remaining patch notes:
- The tutorial font size for the map has been increased
- The visibility of collectibles and containers has been improved
- A bug was fixed where the loot tutorial could not appear at the beginning of the game
- A problem was fixed where the supply containers could not contain the appropriate rewards
- A bug was fixed where players could get stuck in the theater settlement after recruiting Inaya al-Khaliq.
- A bug was fixed where one could get stuck on the roof of the mission Hotel Grand Washington.
- A bug was fixed where the firing rate of semi-automatic weapons could be lower than intended
- A bug was fixed where masks could appear smaller than intended
- A bug was fixed where one could get stuck in an endless loop by opening an event container
- A bug was fixed where the option to pick everything up as junk disappeared

What’s next? Next up is E3 2019, where Ubisoft will also be presenting The Division 2. However, it is not yet known what will be shown.
Additionally, Title Update 4 is already in the works. What this update will bring is also largely unknown. It is certain that the fourth specialization will come.
Furthermore, it will address the many issues with skills, loot, and general balance.
