The new Title Update 4.0 for The Division 2 is now live. The developers at Massive have also provided the official patch notes. What exactly is changing?
Today, on June 18, the Title Update 4.0 for The Division 2 has been released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Here’s what is changing today for the agents in Washington D.C..
These changes are included in the new Title Update 4.0 for The Division 2
There were no big surprises in the official patch notes. Many changes had already been known beforehand. The focus is on bug fixes as well as improvements to the overall game balance. We summarize the highlights for you again.
New specialization – the Gunner: With Title Update 4, the first post-launch specialization – the Gunner – is available. More details can be found here: The Division 2 introduces new specialization – This is what the Gunner can do, the 4th class.
Clans: Numerous adjustments have been made to the clans. It is now easier for smaller clans to complete the weekly projects and access the caches. Clan insignias can now be seen in photo mode. The best clan player of the week will also receive a medal above their name in the clan overview.
Mods: Regular protocol and additional mods can no longer be applied to high-end items, gear sets, or exotic equipment. Items of lower quality are not affected. All other mods can be placed in correspondingly suitable slots.
Specializations: The talent trees of all three previous specializations have been revised. More details can be found here: The Division 2 revises the 3 skill trees of the specializations – fans excited
Projects: The rewards for most projects have been improved. Additionally, some prerequisites for certain projects have been removed.
NPCs: Here are some changes to the NPCs:
- Bulletproof backpacks have been removed from some NPCs, which could completely negate incoming damage (to the NPCs).
- The speed of NPCs has been reduced when they take cover.
- NPCs cannot be suppressed when they deploy a drone.
- Engineer NPCs can now place towers on the ground if there is no suitable cover nearby.
Skills: The reviver drone stock has been further improved. Reviving fallen agents should now work better.
Furthermore, the striker drone has also been refined. After this drone eliminates its target, it will next attack the enemy the player is shooting at. If there is no target, it will attack the enemy closest to its owner.
New Exotics: The first armor exotic in The Division is the “Dodge Coty Gunslinger’s Holster”.
Dark Zones: Here are some changes that now apply in the Dark Zones:
- Players can now go rogue in the occupied Dark Zone. To do this, it is sufficient to shoot at other players (your team does not count as a target).
- There is no prerequisite for being rogue. Shooting at other agents is the only way to go rogue in the occupied Dark Zone.
- Additional manhunt ranks have been added to the occupied Dark Zone. These now go infinitely. There is now a leaderboard where you can compete for the highest manhunt rank.
Acknowledgments: Opened loot boxes now contribute to the progress of all group members and not just the agent who opens the box.
PvP: Here are the changes that have occurred for agent duels in Conflict:
- The PvP modifier for rifle damage has been increased to 1.7.
- The PvP modifier for shotgun damage has been increased to 1.65.
Bug Fixes: There have also been a whole range of various bug fixes. You can find the list in the official patch notes.
