The players of Division 2 filled their backpacks with a free rifle and caused a commotion at the vendor booth.
Why did players flood the vendor booth? In Division 2, players experienced bizarre scenes while at the “Countdown Requisition Station.” There, players could secure the named weapon “Left Piece of the Stage” for free and since this was possible repeatedly, hordes of agents gathered around the vendor booth.
Some users also shared screenshots on reddit showing tons of players at the vendor station where the weapon was available. In the post by reddit user u/LOLfulNewtral, you can’t even read the names of the players gathering around the table.
Players saw advantage in selling the weapon
Why was the weapon free? As the developers stated on Twitter, the price was indeed a mistake. Emergency maintenance started at 5:00 PM on October 26, which would last 2 hours and remove the weapon “Left Piece of the Stage” from the countdown vendor.
What kind of weapon is this? The free weapon is the named M1A rifle “Left Piece of the Stage.” This was introduced with Season 10 in The Division 2, which started in September 2022.

Why did players obtain the weapon multiple times? Since you could not only obtain the rifle multiple times, but also sell and dismantle it, the commotion around the table did not cease.
Everyone wanted to fill their backpacks and secure the free loot while it was available. Since the rifle is a named weapon, there was a considerable amount of credits for a sale. Content creator NothingButSkillz 2.0 also demonstrates this in his video on YouTube.
