In The Division, the Update 1.6 and “Last Stand” have a release date for PS4, PC, and Xbox One!
Now it is official: The Update 1.6 and “Last Stand” have passed the reviews from Microsoft and Sony. This was just confirmed in the livestream “State of the Game”. The content delivery will be deployed at the earliest possible time.
- The date is February 28, 2017. This is a Tuesday. Maintenance work will take place in the morning, so the start is expected around 12:30 PM.
Important: Update 1.6 and Last Stand will be released on all platforms (PS4, Xbox One, PC) simultaneously. The time exclusivity for Xbox One and PC is now over.
Further information from the “State of the Game” on February 23.:
- On February 28, Massive will hold a 24-hour stream presenting “Last Stand”. If you cannot start directly, you can check it out there.
- In the stream, Hamish Bode confirmed again that after 1.6, further updates for The Division will come. However, this cannot be discussed at present. Additionally, Massive is working on improving server performance. Furthermore, the “PS4 Pro” version will receive additional improvements.
- The full patch notes for 1.6 will be released on the Monday before the release. We will report on that. However, they should not contain major surprises.
The February 28th as the release date for 1.6 and “Last Stand” is not too surprising. This date had already appeared in the Ubi forum weeks ago. The community developer Yannick Bancherau posted it hastily in the PTS patch notes. However, after a few minutes, this date was removed from the site. Apparently, the plan of Massive and Ubisoft worked, so this release date can now be met.
