In The Division, armor pieces with unique names arrive with update 1.5. We will take a look at the unique talents of these items.
Ubisoft’s MMO shooter The Division is slowly gaining momentum again. After months of revisions and the completion of update 1.4, the Survival DLC and update 1.5 are now on the horizon.
Update 1.5 will bring numerous changes. The preliminary patch notes have already been introduced. During the PTS phase, these new features can now be tested and adjusted by Massive. Among the major innovations are named gear items, which we will now take a closer look at.
Unique Talents of Named Gear Pieces
So far, there are only named weapons in The Division, which however do not have unique talents and are generally not very sought after. The named armor pieces are supposed to improve on this and be something special thanks to their unique capabilities.
For each gear slot, there is a named armor piece. These items are only available on World Tier 5 and in the Survival mode.
- Mask: Ferro’s Oxygen Mask: Players can move and shoot while having the on-fire status effect.
- Kneepads: Shortbow Championship Pads: Grenades explode faster, after 0.2 seconds.
- Holster: Colonel Bliss’ Holster: Powerful enhancements for sidearms. If you hit a target in succession with a sidearm, weapon damage increases by 2% for 20 seconds. The effect is stackable up to 10 shots. Afterwards, an EMP effect is triggered.
- Gloves: Skulls MC Gloves: Increased damage by 16% when no gear set bonuses are active.
- Chest piece: Barrett’s Bulletproof vest: +10% skill strength when no skill is on cooldown. If a skill is on cooldown, damage increases by 5%. If two skills are on cooldown, armor increases by 10%.
- Backpack: NinjaBike Messenger Bag: If you die in the Dark Zone, you lose less loot (1 piece less) and 20% less Dark Zone XP.
However, specific numbers for the bonuses are not yet provided. Additionally, you must consider that the effects may change over the coming weeks.
