In The Division 1.7, you can achieve one kill per shot with this build. The secret DeadEYE set is required.
For almost a week now, update 1.7 has been live, and some agents have already gathered complete “classified gear sets.” The classified sets were always known as “Classified Gear” in the weeks and months leading up to the launch – the new best armor pieces that come with additional bonuses and higher stats.
Meanwhile, the first guides can be found online on how to create powerful builds with these classified sets. Division expert MarcoStyle now provides a DeadEYE build that is well-received by the community – with overwhelming support.
This DeadEYE build is supposed to allow you to eliminate enemies with just one shot. We will now show you how to recreate this build.
Secret DeadEYE Build – How to recreate it
The idea behind this build – and the DeadEYE set in general – is to kill the enemy from a distance before they can shoot back. You are bound to a precision rifle and high damage output. If the enemy forces you into close combat, you are at a disadvantage. Therefore, this build primarily focuses on dealing as much damage as possible, especially crit damage.
These bonuses are provided by DeadEYE in 1.7:
- 2-Set Bonus: +40% Initial Stability
- 3-Set Bonus: +20% Precision Rifle Critical Hit Damage
- 4-Set Bonus: Talent – While zoomed, precision rifles lose the headshot bonus but gain 100% critical hit chance. Works only with “zoomed scopes” and while in cover.
- 5-Set Bonus: +40% Initial Stability, +20% Precision Rifle Critical Hit Damage
- 6-Set Bonus: While zoomed, a headshot kill with a precision rifle increases crit damage by 20% every second up to a maximum of 100%. Stability is also increased by 100%. The effect lasts 10 seconds or until you leave the zoom.
However, MarcoStyle forgoes the 6-Set Bonus in his build. Although it sounds interesting, it is rarely useful in practice. Especially in PvP, headshots with a sniper are difficult, and additionally, you are limited to a location for this bonus – once you leave it or exit the zoom, the bonus is lost.
Instead, a Relentless Vest will be used, which consistently increases damage by +8% regardless of the situation, but also increases incoming damage by 10%.
These are the armor pieces:
- Vest: Relentless with skill power, health (or enemy armor damage) and ammunition capacity
- Mask: Classified DeadEYE with enemy armor damage and “On Fire” resistance
- Kneepads: Classified DeadEYE with crit damage and various resistances
- Gloves: Classified DeadEYE with precision rifle damage, crit damage, and enemy armor damage
- Holster: Classified DeadEYE with skill haste
- Backpack: Classified DeadEYE
For the main attributes, make sure that the weapons always have high values. The mods should also increase weapons and skill haste. You need skill haste so that your skills recharge faster. Overall, MarcoStyle aims for these values:
The weapons are very high, while the other values are on the lower side.
The Weapons of the Build
For weapons, you need precision rifles:
- M700 Carbon with Prepared (+15% damage when the enemy is more than 30 meters away), Deadly (increases crit damage by 15%), and Competent (+10% weapon damage for 15 seconds after a skill is used). With this powerful weapon, one-shot kills are possible. Focus on crit damage for mods.
- Surplus SVD with the same talents as the M700. Focus on crit damage for mods as well.
The Skills and Talents
These are the skills:
- First Aid with Stim Shot: In addition to the normal healing effect, it increases damage and damage resistance
- Mobile Cover with Countermeasures: While in cover, you deal more damage and are immune to pulse effects
The Character Talents:
- Tactical Advantage: A cover-to-cover move increases weapon damage by 2% per meter traveled for 5 seconds
- Field Medic: Use a first aid kit near allies to heal group members within 20 meters by 40%
- Dodge: While moving from cover to cover, received damage is reduced by 30%
- Quiet Hands: Seeking cover reduces recoil by 25% for 10 seconds
In short: With DeadEYE you are depended on cover, which is why the skills and talents should provide advantages here.
The advantage of this build is that you can deal massive damage without having to aim for the opponents’ heads. The entire body surface is available to you. If you play in a strike team and shoot with this build from the back, you’ll have a good time in The Division.
However, the build also has disadvantages: You are not very resilient, making it unsuitable for solo players. If you encounter multiple enemies in the Dark Zone who flank you, you might take down one or two of them, but the others will force you to your knees.
What does your build look like in 1.7?
