In a recent interview, some Bungie developers discussed the latest quest in Destiny 2. The team is overwhelmed by the positive feedback from players regarding “Zero Hour.” They put a lot of work into the quest.
This is what the quest is about: In an interview with Game Informer, some Bungie developers recently talked about the new quest line surrounding “Zero Hour.” During this quest, you must find a number of Fallen devices and unlock nodes of a transponder.
You can read about how the quest unfolds here.
Overall, it is a very comprehensive and popular quest line that ends with the time-critical quest “Zero Hour.” By completing this quest – if you manage to do so – you will receive the Perfected Breaker.

The development took this long: In the interview, the team also discussed the work on the quest. The development of the “Zero Hour” quest line took about seven months. In comparison, the development of the Whisper quest, which unlocks the exotic sniper rifle Whisper of the Worm, took only four months, even with a smaller team.
The idea for another secret quest actually came to the team while they were working on the Whisper quest. The developers wanted to design another mission with a similar experience that would not simply be a copy of the Whisper quest.
Why the quest is special: “Zero Hour” is not only a long and extremely challenging quest, it is also packed with Easter eggs and references to Destiny 1.

The quest itself brings the Guardians back to the old Tower from the predecessor, which was destroyed at the beginning of Destiny 2. There, especially veterans discover some things from the first Destiny game, such as the destroyed ball or a jukebox that still plays the familiar tunes from the first game in the series.
You will also meet the Fallen Captain Mithrax, whom the Guardians have already encountered in an early mission in Destiny 2.
Additionally, players have solved many of the small secrets together: After the quest went live, the Guardians gathered every little piece of information on social media to uncover the mysteries of “Zero Hour.”
