The survival game “The Culling” is now in Early Access. Four days ahead of schedule.
On March 8, “The Culling” was supposed to launch in Early Access on PC and Steam. Apparently, they couldn’t wait any longer and surprised all fans by going live already on March 4.
The Culling can be purchased for €13.50 on Steam and is in Early Access, meaning it’s a playable but still very early version.
The game has been marketed as a “brutal Battle Royale.” 16 players fight each other with fists, poison arrows, melee, or firearms until only one remains. Crafting and looting corpses for their gear is also part of the game.
The survival genre is currently popular among developers, after the zombies from H1Z1 and later the dinosaurs from Ark: Survival Evolved were successful last year.
It is considered to be the genre where there is still room for new titles, as there are no clear market leaders but several games competing with each other.
