What is this subscription? The Crew subscription in Fortnite costs €11.99 per month and gives you special content. You gain access to the current Battle Pass, 1,000 V-Bucks per month, and an exclusive skin pack that changes every month. Fortnite presented this as a brilliant opportunity for cosmetics.
This subscription is set to improve in the near future. A survey directed at players has been leaked on the topic.
Problems and the Apology
What happened: At the beginning of the year, there were several issues with the Crew subscription.
- Players had trouble receiving their Crew rewards
- Initially, it was complicated to cancel the Crew subscription on Xbox
In a recent blog post from Fortnite (via epicgames.com), it states that they want to thank the players for their patience. As a token of gratitude, all past and current Crew members will receive a new, exclusive emote named ‘Secret Handshake’.
You will receive the gift if you have previously had a Crew subscription, currently have one, or sign up anew. You just need to log into Fortnite by February 15, 2021.

Improvements for Crew subscription announced
This is what Epic Games says: In the blog post, the developers also mention upcoming improvements. However, they are keeping it vague. It states: “We also want to ensure that your subscription offers you even more each month.”

This was leaked: The direction in which the improvements are supposed to go may be determined by you. As a leak shows, Fortnite is now asking you how the subscription should be improved. Data miner iFireMonkey shared screenshots of this survey on Twitter. Players are asked which content is most important for the Crew subscription.
The options are:
- Increased number of players on islands in Creative mode
- Increased number of islands in Creative mode
- Exclusive cosmetic items
- Giftable subscriptions
- The possibility to purchase the Crew subscription in stores
- and more
When all players will receive this survey is still unclear. Here, Fortnite shows closeness to the players and wants to know exactly how to improve the subscription.
