The open beta for The Crew 2 will start soon. What content is playable? What vehicles can you try out? We will show you what you can experience during the beta in the virtually reconstructed USA.
The release of The Crew 2 is already on June 29, 2018 (PC / Xbox One / Playstation 4). Reason enough for the makers around Ivory Tower to conduct one final stress test of the servers.
The open beta starts on June 21 and ends on June 25 – just a few days before the release. In a post, the PlayStation Blog addressed the activities you can engage in during the four days.

What is The Crew 2 all about? You will be thrown directly into the fray as a relatively unknown driver and must make a name for yourself through racing victories in various disciplines. The developer provides everything a hobby racer could wish for in terms of rideable vehicles: from racing cars to power boats and planes to off-road vehicles and motorcycles.
In the beta, you can basically buy all the vehicles that are offered in the catalog and take them on rides. While there will be no races for many of the vehicles during the open beta, you can at least try out everything the game has to offer during free drive.

These activities you should experience during the open beta!
1. Visit Las Vegas: In Las Vegas, you can participate in the Strip South event – a race that goes directly through the famous “Strip”. Mastering the track is quite a challenge, with traps and shortcuts waiting for drivers at every turn.
2. Explore the terrain with the Mercedes X-Class: The heavy 2.2-ton beast can be easily maneuvered through the wilderness. Whoever wins the corresponding event can claim the X-Class and take it home (virtually).
During the closed beta, the control of the off-road vehicles felt a bit sluggish. It will be exciting to see whether Ivory Tower has improved this in the meantime.

3. Unlock all available vehicles: You can unlock four different vehicle classes during the beta – Street Racer, Pro Racer, Boats, and Planes. If you play the corresponding events, you will receive the first vehicles as a gift.
4. Explore the area in free play: Many landmarks of the USA have been implemented in the game. You could jump from a giant dam at the Colorado River or fly over it with a plane, explore the caves and swamps around Maine with a boat, or plow through the mud in the Hollywood Hills in LA with the motocross machine.
5. Customize your vehicles: In your headquarters in Miami, you can individually customize all your vehicles. From different spoilers and paint jobs to custom skins, you can try out a lot of things.
The editor for custom paint jobs was already extremely powerful during the closed beta. Several community projects emerged during this time. However, it is not known whether these can still be found in the open beta.
Have you already played the closed beta and are now checking back?
