Many Guardians are currently having fun with a new animation from the Drifter in Destiny 2. They are creating cool clips about it – which Bungie also finds funny.
This is why the Drifter is being mocked: Since Season 6 and the introduction of Gambit Prime, the Drifter has some new animations when announcing the opponents for the upcoming Gambit match.
For example, he pulls a coin from behind his ear or jingles his green coin and says “Ding” before revealing which enemy race you have to face.
The latter animation with the “Ding” has now inspired many Guardians to create funny clips that are currently being viewed by thousands of players and receiving upvotes.
“What does the Vex say?”
This video is currently popular: On Reddit, a clip of the Guardian “I am Claw!” has already gathered more than 3700 upvotes and around 30,000 views in the last few hours. It is the Guardian’s first YouTube video.
He mentions that he worked on this 15-second clip for four hours. But it seems to have been worth it, as many are celebrating the video:
He lets the Drifter jingle his coin to the well-known song “What does the fox say”, while the Drifter appears pretty silly and frequently says “Ding”.
Since the Drifter announces at the end that the Vex will be on the field, several users immediately suggested that the video should be titled “What does the Vex say”.
This is how Bungie reacts: The community managers Cozmo and dmg04 both responded to this video.

However, dmg04 wrote this with a smirk, as a quick glance at his Twitter account shows. He is also amused by the community’s “Ding” clips:
