Only a few hours after the pre-order launch of Cyberpunk 2077, the Collector’s Edition is already sold out. No wonder, given the content.
At E3 2019, there was a big announcement from actor Keanu Reeves yesterday. The upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077 finally received a release date and is set to be released next year, in April 2020. Accordingly, pre-orders also began, allowing fans to purchase the Standard or Collector’s Edition (CE) of the game.
What is the price of the Collector’s Edition? The cost of the CE was quite hefty, a proud 220€ the developers wanted for the premium version compared to the 60€ standard version. However, this apparently did not deter fans, as just a few hours after the sales began, the CE is already sold out at least on Amazon for PC and Xbox One. For the PS4, there are currently (12:45 PM) still copies available.
What is included in the Collector’s Edition? For the hefty price of 220€, the Collector’s Edition also offered a lot of physical content with which fans can now decorate their room or simply show off in front of their nerd friends. Included are:
- A 25cm tall figure of V, the main character of the game
- Collector’s steelbook
- Hardcover artbook
- Metal pin set
- A metal keychain in the style of “Quadra Vtech”
- A commented edition of the “Night City travel guide”
- Embroidered patches
- Sticker bomb set
Bonuses already in the Standard Version: But you don’t have to miss out on all the bonuses. The Standard Version of the game also has some additional perks. The following content is included in both the Standard and the Collector’s Edition:
- World compendium in details about the setting and background story of the game
- Postcards from Night City
- Map of Night City
In addition, there are a few digital bonuses that are also included in both versions of the game:
- Soundtrack for the game
- Art booklet with a selection of artworks
- “Cyberpunk 2020” source compilation
- Desktop and mobile device wallpapers
Will there be more stock? Whether there will be further versions of the Collector’s Edition of Cyberpunk 2077 or if the developers will produce more due to the extremely high demand remains to be seen. In any case, there seemed to be many fans particularly hungry for Cyberpunk 2077 who jumped at the chance immediately.
One possibility could be the Store of CD Projekt Red – there the Collector’s Edition is still listed as “Coming Soon”. Those who keep their eyes open may have another chance.
