With the new patch 1.5.2 for Diablo Immortal on July 20, the class switching feature was introduced to the game. This allows you to easily switch your class without having to play a new character. MeinMMO explains how it works.
What is this feature? The new update 1.5.2 brought important changes and the class switching as a new feature. Once a week you can change your class for free – and once you can even switch back if you don’t like the new class.
The feature is designed so that you can fully focus on one character and do not have to play secondary characters. You remain a member of your clan and your group and keep all your possessions.
How to switch your class: To switch your class, you simply need to visit the Wandering Flames in the Westmark. They are located in Selynnas Basilica, the cathedral in the east:
Interact with the flames and choose the option “Class Switch”. However, your character must have reached level 35 to do this. When selecting a new class, you can completely customize your appearance.
The class switch is limited to once per week and there are no further switches outside of this cooldown period. The cooldown begins after the switch. There should also be no way to purchase switches in the shop – so choose wisely.
When you switch, you receive a starter set for your new class. Class-specific cosmetics will not be carried over. In our guide, we explain in detail everything you need to know about class switching in Diablo Immortal.

New Legendaries in the Update, Classes Coming Later
Along with the class switching feature, 36 new Legendaries were introduced to the game, 6 for each class. If you do not like the new options for your character, you can switch easily now. The list of all new Legendaries can be found on the official website.
A new class is currently not in the game, but we know from an interview with Game Director Wyatt Cheng that new classes will come in the future. The new classes will be free content for all players.
Since Season 2, players have found a possible class in the game data, the Blood Knight. However, it is still uncertain if and when it will appear.
The new update, however, brings a ton of changes that make the Pay2Win factor for Free2Play players significantly less severe. One reason why even critics are praising the patch:
