BioWare has now revealed how players can customize their Javelin pilots in Anthem. The options are significantly more limited than what is typically expected from the studio. But there is a reason for that.
What is it about? The customization of the Javelins, that is the combat suits in Anthem, will be extensive, and it is no longer a secret. However, many fans have been eagerly waiting to see what the visual options for creating their character, the pilot, will be like.
Because BioWare is known for offering a comprehensive character editor, as seen in the “Dragon Age” or “Mass Effect” series. Many fans had hoped for something similar for Anthem. Now BioWare has explained what options will be available to players regarding the appearance of the pilot.
This is how players can customize their pilots: On Twitter, Mark Darrah, the Executive Producer of Anthem, addressed some fan questions during a conversation. He was asked, among other things, how pilot customization would look at the launch of the title.
The fan wanted to know in detail whether it would be possible to customize the hairstyle, hair color, and other aspects of the external appearance such as nose, eyes, mouth, or ears.
In response, Darrah explained that players can choose a finished pilot head from a list. Jon Renish, one of the lead developers at BioWare, added that there will be a wide array of pre-made pilots.
The reason for this design decision: The focus of personalization in Anthem will clearly be on the Javelin combat suits. This is the best way to showcase one’s individuality.
