The chance for Shiny Celebi in Pokémon GO has been available since December 14th. The event for the movie “Secrets of the Jungle” started early in the morning and brings many bonuses.

On Monday morning (December 14th), the event for the Pokémon movie “Secrets of the Jungle” started. The event had already caused a stir days ago, as you can obtain Shiny Celebi.

New research and the return of Jessie and James
When does it start? On Monday morning, December 14th, at 08:00 local time, these bonuses will be activated.
A new research: A limited-time research will appear in Pokémon GO. If you successfully complete it, you can expect an encounter with Shiny Celebi. You have been able to catch Celebi since August 2018. The fact that it is now catchable as a shiny form is new.
The research will be guided by Jessie and James, whom you know from Team GO Rocket.
Jessie and James as opponents: With their Meowth balloon, Jessie and James are causing trouble in Pokémon GO again. It is still unclear how long they will stay. They have a different Shadow Pokémon with them.

Research Pikachu
When does it come? From Monday (December 14th) at 08:00 to Monday (December 21st) at 22:00 local time.
What is it? The Pikachu in its research form can be found in the wild and, with luck, as Shiny.
It will also appear in the Spotlight Hour on Tuesday.
If you take a snapshot during the event time, Jessie and James may appear in it.
New spawns in the wild, raids, and from eggs + Shiny
When does it come? From December 14th at 08:00 to December 17th at 22:00 local time.
Wild: In the wild, you will frequently encounter Hoothoot, Blanas, Rotomurf, Waumboll, and with luck, Fermicula.
Raids: During the event time, Slurpuff, Flunkifer, Libelldra, Geronimatz, and more will battle in raids.
5-km eggs: From the 5-km eggs, Fluffeluff, Kussilla, Elekid, Magby, Mobai, and Geronimatz will hatch.
Shiny: With luck, you may find Shiny Geronimatz.
More Meowth balloons for Christmas
When? On December 25th from 08:00 to 22:00 local time.
What happens then? On Christmas Day, balloons with Jessie and James will appear more frequently. More information about this event will follow during December.
